The leather coaster is a finished item and can not be customized, but I can make you a custom one. Just contact me, and I'll be more than happy to help!
I hand-tooled the design onto a piece of heavy-weight vegetable-tanned leather, and dyed it a tan color. I then applied an antique paste to highlight the tooling, and a clear acrylic finish on top to help protect the leather. The bottom is unfinished and will absorb any liquids, so please be careful.
This coaster measures 3.5" by 3.5" and is about 1/8" of an inch thick.
I originally designed these leather coasters with a coffee mug, but I have found that they work well with cold beverages, too, just as long as the glass isn't too wet from condensation. The water won't hurt the leather but might discolor and stiffen the clear finish. Let it dry for a day if it gets wet, and gently flex it to soften it.
