A premium hand-tooled leather pocket knife sheath featuring an Indian Head Nickel concho. It's designed to hold the famous 4" trapper style 2 bladed folding pocket knife and slide onto a 1.5" wide belt. The knife shown is a Case Trapper and is for reference only.
This knife sheath design is meant for the sheath to be worn on the right side due to the angled slots and lean slightly forward. I can make you a custom scabbard if you need it for your left side, and contact me for more info.
I hand formed the Indian Head Nickel into a concho using a genuine American nickel and soldered a solid brass rivet to the back.
I hand-tooled the design and dyed the 9/10 ounce veg-tanned leather with a medium brown color, giving it a distressed look. I antiqued the back and left the edges natural to provide it with a worn look. The concho rivet is recessed on the inside of the leather, so it will not damage your knife when sliding into the sheath. I applied a clear finish to help protect the leather.
I used natural colored bonded nylon thread to sew the pieces together using my heavy leather sewing machine.
This sheath is around 4" high by 3" wide and is a little over 1/4" thick, laying flat.
(*The knife and belt are not included*)
This knife sheath is a finished item and can not be customized, but I can make you a custom one. Just contact me, and I'll be more than happy to help!
